Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:  Department of Defense Secret clearance is preferred at time of hire.  The selected candidate must be able to obtain a clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. 

Responsibilities for this Position

 

Overview:
The Program Quality Engineer (PQE) will support quality assurance activities to ensure products and services meet customer and company quality requirements. The PQE will work under the guidance of senior quality engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and program management, to help identify and mitigate quality risks, assist in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance plans and procedures for assigned programs.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to help integrate quality requirements into product design and production processes.
  • Monitor program performance metrics and assist in reporting quality trends and issues to senior management.
  • Participate in program reviews and provide quality-related input and recommendations.
  • Support customer and regulatory audits, including preparation and follow-up activities.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Ensure that quality documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Internship or co-op experience in quality engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with quality tools and software, such as statistical analysis, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the defense industry.
  • Experience with project or team-based work during academic studies.

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $83,153.00 - USD $92,247.00 /Yr.
