Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

 

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As the Advanced Test Engineer, you’ll participate in the planning of technical approaches, resources, schedules, budgets and equipment required for the testing and evaluating of new RF and GPS/Navigation systems, products and special devices. Utilizing your expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles, you’ll prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures throughout the engineering development lifecycle.

What you bring to the table:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages
  • Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions
  • Participates in the planning of technical approaches, resources, schedule, budget and equipment required for testing and evaluating new systems, products and special devices
  • Executes the test approach and documents system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle
  • Generate system test work products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools
  • Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products
  • Develops and conducts functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems
  • Assists with the design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software and systems for all phases of product development and manufacturing
  • Isolates and documents issues and defects
  • Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
  • Researches and analyzes data, such as customer design proposals, specifications and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
  • Keeps abreast of technology trends

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $98,090.00 - USD $102,000.00 /Yr.
