Advanced Mechanical Engineer

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a mechanical engineer for Undersea Missions Solutions, you’ll be a member of or lead a cross functional team responsible for developing complex undersea communication systems.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Leading the design, development and creation of electro-mechanical systems; Experience in team leadership and program execution; subject matter expertise in electro-hydraulic sub-systems.

• Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings, utilizing Creo
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards

• Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals
