Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

SOFTWARE ENGINEER – TOOLS DEVELOPMENT

 

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a software engineer for the Command and Control, Battle Management, Communications – Global (C2BMC Global), you’ll provide assistance and upkeep of the C2BMC Global CI/CD pipeline using in-house scripts and applications to ensure a streamlined, easy approach to expanded integration testing within the larger system of applications use by the program. You will also design and implement new features and support the development of backend systems.

What sets you apart:

  • Ability to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions through principles, theories, and concepts
  • Background experience in backend software engineering using Java or MATLAB
  • Technical skills in Bash/Unix, Python, and MATLAB
  • Experience in Java particularly with Swing and the utilization of reflection
  • Documented experience with Eclipse or VSCode
  • Experience with Agile workflows using Jira and Confluence interfaces
  • Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
  • Frequent internal and external customer interactions with the ability to present technical solutions to a targeted audience

This position is 100% onsite at a customer facility located in Colorado Springs, CO.

No telecommute option is available.

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $115,674.00 - USD $128,325.00 /Yr.
