Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

 

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:


As an Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer for Land and Air Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the integration and formal test of a aircraft subsystem. Within this position will be supporting a team through environmental risk reduction (RR) testing as well as formal environmental qualification testing (MIL-STD-810, 461, 464, 704, etc.) to verify an aircraft system can endure specific environmental conditions. Additionally, you will use your troubleshooting and testing skills to integrate and troubleshoot 3U module circuit cards into a backplane within an aircraft chassis during RR and formal qualification efforts.

 

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences:

  • Heavy understanding on thermal and vibration testing either per MIL-STD-810 or DO-160.
  • Experience with setting up and running thermal chambers, and vibration tables and controllers.
  • Experience drafting and/or executing to formal test procedures based on military standards (MIL-STD-810, 461, 464, 704, etc.).
  • Executed formal hardware qualification to verify customer requirements to include Environmental, hardware bench testing, or Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
  • Ran Acceptance Tests Procedures (ATP) and/or managed the execution of automated tests using Factory Test Equipment (FTE).
  • Can troubleshoot equipment, test software or product failures as required and can work with a larger team to drive to corrective actions/solutions and implement changes to test equipment as needed.
  • Designed and developed early integration test plans and procedures to verify hardware and/or software for embedded systems.
  • Experience in test equipment design, drafting, and releasing of documents to include test I/O cables, breakout boxes, and/or breaker boxes. Familiar with process to procure parts, assembly test equipment, and integrate with the system under test (SUT).

What sets you apart:

  • Also have experience with MIL-STD-810 tests such as Temperature/Altitude, Explosive Atmosphere.
  • Experience in or ability to learn communication protocols to include I2C, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), USB, General-purpose Input/Output (GPIOs), Controller Area Network (CAN bus), Recommended Standard 232 (RS232), one-wire, Recommended Standard 485 (RS485).
  • Experience with Interface buses like I2C and SPI.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot problems down to the component level.
  • Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements.
  • Works well with other disciplines and engineering groups such as hardware and software design engineers for test design and resolving technical problems.

Workplace Options:
This position is Flex onsite.  You will need to report to the office weekly
While on-site, you will be a part of the Bloomington, MN facility.

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $115,684.00 - USD $122,000.00 /Yr.
