Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.  Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

GDMS is looking for a Circuit Card Assembly Manager to lead the assembly and inspection associates in manufacturing circuit cards at our Bloomington Manufacturing Operations. This position will report into the Senior Manager for Manufacturing in our Bloomington Site in support of delivery requirements across multiple programs. This manager will develop the team, grow skillsets, and lead team members to monitor performance and complete manufacturing operations that meet production schedules. You will also coordinate with our material, engineering, and planning functions to ensure personnel are available and assigned for successful execution of production plans. The Manufacturing Circuit Card Assembly Manager will also lead the team to achieve cost, quality, and cycle time targets.

 

Duties and Tasks:

  • Oversees the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing products
  • Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs
  • Establishes and ensures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
  • Responsible for managing people, including performance evaluations and merit recommendations
  • Works closely with product design/engineering to ensure new products are seamlessly transitioned into production
  • Responsible for ensuring that all internal quality practices demonstrate compliance with external regulations
  • Manages all capital requirements in facilities and ensures equipment and machinery meet the required safety, quality, and productivity requirements
  • Manages schedule and capacity to meet program needs
  • Ensures process and material control to meet as-built data requirements
  • Consolidates program delivery requirements and develops detailed production schedules
  • Provides schedule and staff projections for assembly and inspection
  • Provides staffing projections to coaches to achieve 30/60/90 production plans
  • Provides CCA capacity projections and level capacity within circuit card assembly and coating
  • Manages WIP and circuit card assembly factory cycle times to drive fast throughput in the factory
  • Leads team members to establish measurements to monitor performance to established processes and procedures
  • Establishes and implements production/manufacturing plans
  • Generates and monitors budgets, schedules, earned value, and staffing requirements
  • Leads employee development and performance management of employees
  • May manage proposals within business area
  • Generates technical sections(s) of proposals within field of expertise
  • Regularly assesses performance of team members to established processes and procedures
  • Establishes the review & selection criteria of exempt staff within area of expertise and leads the selection process
  • Manages all capital requirements in facilities and ensures equipment and machinery meet the required safety, quality, and productivity requirements
  • Contributes to the strategic direction/plan for the functional area
  • Regular communication with senior members of the internal team, division level management
  • May have regular customer interface

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High level of electronic manufacturing technical expertise
  • Expert Knowledge of Circuit Card Assembly processes
  • Ability to utilize planning and execution skills in support of projects or teams
  • Strong ability to implement changes and monitor the effectiveness of changes based on cost and schedule impact
  • Strong ability to motivate team or project personnel to develop innovative ideas resolving business or project-related issues
  • Ability to lead team in identification of innovative decisions to continuously improve team or project performance
  • Strong use of influence skills to obtain management level support of initiatives to meet objectives of the team or project
  • Ability to work with team or project to determine options to change and present recommendations to team or project management
  • Lead team to define team roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to lead team or project members to define interfaces of roles and responsibilities
  • Interfaces with other teams to communicate the effectiveness of the team
  • Thorough understanding of the business environment and how team or project support division/company goals
  • Strong ability to present project progress/results to internal management
  • Strong understanding of the basic philosophy of program schedules, risk areas, slack time, and critical paths
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written)

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $110,175.00 - USD $119,213.00 /Yr.
