Responsibilities for this Position

As an IT Support Specialist on the Rescue 21 program, you will collaborate with a diverse engineering team, the Customer Service Organization (CSO), and field support representatives to ensure the Rescue 21 system is maintained and operational 24/7. Your primary responsibilities will include Microsoft OS patch management and image development using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and other tools.

 

Key tasks include:

  • Providing IT support and contributing to broader engineering initiatives to enhance cybersecurity while minimizing system downtime in a mission-critical environment.
  • Supporting system administration tasks, including Active Directory and Group Policy Object management and changes.
  • Performing lab technician responsibilities to address hardware and software issues and ensure patches are up to date on endpoints.
  • Managing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) for:
    • Monthly Microsoft security patch deployment to labs and production endpoints.
    • Automated patch compliance reporting and remediation.
    • OS image creation, testing, deployment, and maintenance for new systems and system refresh cycles.
    • Software package deployment and installation.
  • Assessing monthly Microsoft security patches for system applicability.
  • Providing IT solutions to ensure all endpoints comply with cybersecurity requirements, such as Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
  • Installing, modifying, and maintaining operating systems, databases, and utility software while minimizing system downtime.
  • Developing, examining, and applying technical documentation.
  • Coordinating IT changes with the Customer Service Organization (CSO) for seamless operations.
  • Diagnosing and resolving a variety of hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient problem resolution.

What you bring to the table:

  • A Bachelor’s of Science or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
  • Demonstrate narrowly focused in-depth technical level of practical operational process knowledge in a specific engineering area
  • Demonstrate technical competence in the setup, monitoring and documentation of experiments and/or lab equipment

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $84,006.00 - USD $90,898.00 /Yr.
