REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the defense of our country. GDMS has an immediate opening for an Engineering Intern to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to work on projects that support some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission. The GDMS Team supports the complete life cycle of Electronic Security Systems for the Navy. GDMS is the prime integrator and provides the design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, test, maintenance and training for these systems. The selected
intern will gain exciting real-world engineering experience at a thriving company. We frequently work in the field with small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal intern for this environment will be
enthusiastic and collaborative.
Department of Defense Secert Security Clearance is required before start date. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified
information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Additionally,applicantsmust meet the pre-screening eligibility requirements for a controlled billet in accordance with DoD Instruction 5210.42 Nuclear Weapons Personnel Reliability
Program (PRP).
