REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Duties and Tasks:
• Participates in electrical requirements analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis
(e.g. timing, power, etc.), design, integration and verification of electrical components,
equipment and systems
• Applies principles and techniques of Electrical Engineering
• Performs electrical engineering root cause analysis for electrical issues, conducts
experimental tests, evaluates results to formulate and implement solutions to issues
• Participates in internal electrical reviews of electrical components, equipment and systems
• Evaluates vendor capability to support product development
• Applies a basic understanding of the organizationally defined electrical processes used
throughout the lifecycle of the program or project
• Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards,
processes, procedures, and tools throughout the electrical development life cycle
• Participates in the selection of components and equipment based on analysis of requirements
• Generally, works within an identified work group
• Generally, has some contact with project leaders
• Generally, works on problems of limited scope under frequent detailed supervision
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering processes
• Use of electrical engineering CAD tools
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
• Working knowledge in electrical engineering design tools
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Creative thinker
• Ability to recognize and clearly report information relevant to sound electrical engineering
design
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Travel may be required
• Security clearance may be required
