Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, along with the following.  Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.  

  • CRM proficiency - Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a comparable CRM platform is required
  • Microsoft Office Suite - Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Communication - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong phone etiquette and accurate data entry
  • Organization - Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Self-motivated - Able to work independently with minimal day-to-day direction while contributing effectively to shared team goals
  • Customer-focused mindset - Committed to delivering exceptional service to both internal teams and external customers
  • Resilience & enthusiasm - Demonstrates perseverance and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), a market leader and technology innovator, is seeking a talented Sales Operations Specialist to join our team, focusing on maintaining and growing GDMS' customer base through exceptional support, engagement and customer intimacy. As a Sales Operations Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Essential Job functions & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships supporting the Account Management and/Sales team
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and professional support
  • Triage and route a high volume of customer inquiries to the appropriate individuals or teams for follow up
  • Leverage CRM to create opportunities and generate accurate, timely quotes in support of sales activities
  • Ensure data integrity by consistently maintaining and updating customer records within CRM
  • Assist in the preparation of sales reports, performance metrics, and ad hoc analyses using CRM and other reporting tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Contracts, Order Management, and Finance departments to support customer order fulfillment
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, pricing, promotions, and internal procedures
  • Support sales/marketing collateral and loaner provision process, as required.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and champion the adoption of AI tools to enhance sales operations efficiency
  • Demonstrate professionalism and build trust by consistently representing the company with integrity, maintaining confidentiality, honoring commitments, and fostering credible, respectful relationships with both internal teams and external customers

 

Position:   On-site Dedham, MA   (3-4 days per week on-site, 1-2 days per week remote work possible with agreement from manager)
