Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Key Responsibilities

The Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and facilities management at the Pittsfield, MA facility, including:

 

  • Provide guidance within the latitude of established company policies.
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day MEP and building systems operations across the facility, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
  • Manage the in-house MEP team responsible for open systems that can be serviced directly without OEM-specific certifications, ensuring preventative maintenance is planned, assigned, and completed on schedule.
  • Oversee the full preventative maintenance (PM) program across all building systems, including closed proprietary systems requiring OEM involvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships for OEM-required systems, ensuring work is scheduled, performed on time, and documented properly.
  • Initiate process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to initiate shared best practices and synergies.
  • Frequently interact with customers and/or functional peer group managers on matters between functional areas.
  • Lead cooperative efforts among project team members.
  • Implement quality-oriented service procedures to enhance department performance.
  • Plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications and maintenance activities.
  • Manage departmental activities with responsibility for results, including costs and staffing.
  • Prioritize department initiatives to align with leadership team direction.
  • Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect the organization.
  • Experience working within a union environment and familiarity with union leadership interactions and labor agreements is expected.

  • In-depth understanding of Facilities systems, with specific emphasis on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex problems with demonstrated use of sound analysis techniques.
  • Ability to manage all Facilities functions.
  • Intermediate knowledge and understanding of building systems, equipment functions, and requirements.
  • Technical knowledge of Facilities Operations building systems and functions.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.
  • Experience within the MEP trades field work preferred
  • Microsoft Office experience required

 

Security Clearance

  • No active security clearance is required for this position.
  • The ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required.

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $116,717.00 - USD $126,292.00 /Yr.
