As a Sr Finance Specialist, you will support GDMS Senior Leadership to enhance the performance and profitability of our organization, which supports critical defense services. You will play a crucial role in setting financial targets for departments and cost pools, delivering insightful variance commentary on actual performance, driving strategic planning, and ensuring financial success. Acting as a financial resource for the functions you support, you will create deliverables and perform analysis that support decision-making by GDMS Executives. Additionally, you will perform studies and summarize recommendations related to investment and business opportunities, future trends, and the impact of governmental requirements and financial regulations, along with month-end close activities for assigned areas.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these skills or experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau and/or Power BI dashboard development.
  • Technical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit and reporting requirements.
  • Experience using Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Oracle Cloud.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including Excel PivotTables and Slicers.

  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
  • Data analytics, Python, or robotic process automation certifications or hands-on experience.
  • Experience developing financial models, forecasts, and variance analyses for departments and cost pools.
  • Experience supporting month-end close activities, financial reporting, and audit requirements.
  • Knowledge of finance technology, automation tools, and next-generation planning and reporting platforms.
  • Experience evaluating investment or business opportunities and assessing the financial impact of regulatory requirements.

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $77,500.00 - USD $82,500.00 /Yr.
