Imagine a world-class engineering environment. Now add a team of exceptional talent along with technologies that are so advanced they’re often classified. That’s what you’ll find at General Dynamics Mission Systems. Here you’ll lead amazing engineers as they invent the technologies, products and services that help our service members, intelligence analysts and first responders keep our nation safe. If you want the chance to lead, it’s time to bring your talent to General Dynamics Mission Systems.
We apply advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, AR/VR, Cloud Native and Quantum Physics to solve our customers’ missions in cyber, RF, undersea, interstellar and everything in between.
Providing security engineering and integration services to customers, you’ll develop and execute security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems. You’ll also research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and design countermeasures, maintain hardware, software and network firewalls and encryption protocols and administer security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems.
As an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) supporting Information Assurance at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will lead the cybersecurity, assessment and authorization (A&A), and compliance activities for classified information systems. You will serve as the primary security representative for the program, providing security leadership across the system life cycle and coordinating directly with program leadership, system stakeholders, internal security organizations, and government customers.
In this role, you will oversee the implementation, operation, maintenance, and continuous monitoring of system security controls; manage security documentation; assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks; and ensure systems remain compliant with applicable government, customer, and company requirements. You will lead security audits, incident-response activities, security training, and customer engagements while working closely with cross-functional engineering, IT, configuration management, and program teams.
This role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and government customers in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.
